Our Sage is burning to purify our home here of negativity & to bring peace & harmony to us all, always.

Silent Paws
Gerri K. McCann

Silent paws trotting
on a well beaten trail,
alone in the wilderness,
so young and so frail.

Little yips go unanswered,
the moon is now his guide,
looking for ones just like him,
or have all of them just died?

He sniffs the dampened ground
and senses man everywhere,
the silence is deafening
no howls in the air.

Oh why did he venture
so far from his den,
while his pack fell silent
at the hands of men?

His stomach is growling
but the hunger he’ll endure,
his pack family is out there
it’s their blood he smells for sure.

He stops in his tracks
and raises his head up high,
the terror overwhelms him
as he lets out another cry.

But still there’s no answer
he can’t understand why,
he’ll follow their trail
or he surely will die.

For days now he’s traveled
his spirit and body gone weak,
he lies down in white clover
no more energy left to speak.

Soon the soul hovers
over this tiny, frail pup,
whose future now will be guarded
as his soul travels up.

What right does man have
to take life from a living thing,
that has no way to voice its defense
against a human being?

The wolf is a symbol,
a brother, a friend.
it’s time now for action
before his existence comes to an end.

The Pair
Robert Ellis

Running Pair
He and she
Coats of white
They live to be
A matched set
Mates for life
Across frozen creeks
And fields of white
They fear no creature
Great or small
Side by side
They defeat them all
Love and devotion
Bonded together
in this life or the next
Always forever
Not just bodies
But hearts mated too
A pair of White Wolves
Me...........and you

OH GREAT SPIRIT-EARTH, FIRE, SKY AND SEA. YOU ARE INSIDE AND ALL AROUND ME. THE CIRCLE IS OPEN YET UNBROKEN--MAY THE PEACE OF THE GODDESS LIE EVER IN YOUR HEART. HERE WE MEET, HERE WE PART AND HERE WE'LL MEET AGAIN.

FROM OUR SISTER: MARY HAMMOND

Here are the most effective ways to contribute to the T.R.E.A.T.Y. Total Immersion School:

1. Financial donations to the T.R.E.A.T.Y. Total Immersion School at www.treatyschool.org

2. Shopping on-line at http://www.onecause.com/causes/201022 and selecting the school as the cause you want to support. In this way, purchases that you would usually make on-line through Amazon, Target, Sears, etc, direct a percentage of the purchase price to the school.

3. Donations of building and greenhouse supplies. This could take the form of a Home Depot gift card or direct donations of a greenhouse kit or organic seeds.

4. Donations of art supplies suitable for 3 and 4 year olds. Things like pencils, crayons, paper and clay.

5. Gift certificate at Edmunds Scientific for the purchase of entry level microscopes for looking at bugs and leaves and such.

6. Our Google ad click campaign: It would be of great benefit if you could REGULARLY click on our Google ads on the websites. Money from this goes to fund the TREATY Total Immersion School. Perfectly legitimate fund-raising tool. On www.republicoflakotah.com, the ads are at the bottom of the articles. On www.russellmeansfreedom.com, the ads are on the right side.

7. Investment in the Lakotah Wind Trust which is in the process of developing a prototype wind turbine to be assembled here on the Reservation by the Lakotah.

ELDERS MEDITATION

November 20

"Money cannot buy affection."
-Mangas Coloradas, APACHE

In these modern times we put too much emphasis on material things and on money. We
believe that money is power. If we have money,
people will respect us. If we have money,
people will admire us. If we have money, we
can have anything we want. Maybe we can
purchase anything in he material world, but
we cannot purchase anything in the Unseen
World. The Unseen World is not for sale. It
can only be given away. Love, affection, admiration, trust, respect, commitment - these must
be earned or given away. If we use these things
from the Unseen World, we are using real
power.

My Creator,
let me
demonstrate
Your power
today. Let me
be loving to all
I meet.
